As students walked into school this morning, many were excited about an event which they had never experienced in their lives: a total solar eclipse.
During the day, students were reminded safety was the main priority. We discussed not looking directly at the eclipse and making sure younger siblings and friends were also being safe.
Many classrooms live streamed from various websites including NASA and Google as the moon danced between us and our view of the sun. Not only were they able to see what the eclipse looked like from our area, but from various locations across the nation.
Many students were disappointed they were unable to witness the eclipse well due to the cloud coverage in our area. However, they won't have to wait long to see another; the next solar eclipse will be in 2024!
