We have all seen the memes on Facebook where people nostalgically remember the rectangular pizzas on their plastic trays.
Well, as next week is National School Lunch Week, we thought we would not just leave our school lunches to our memories.
Several 6th grade students were asked to take abstract images of their lunches. These are what they were able to create!
In case you were wondering, National School Lunch Week was instituted by President John F. Kennedy and the tradition lives on today.
Please enjoy these images taken by GPE's own students!
Some of our students had the opportunity to visit Tynes Elementary to participate in the Sensory Safari. Our own fearless Science Coach, Ms. Patrylo, as well as Tynes' fearless Science Coach, Mrs. Patrylo, (yes, they are related :) ) collaborated to bring this experience to our students.
Students were able to see representations of various creatures from around our area, as well as from other habitats.
Please view the photos below to really see all of the fun our students had!
